Twenty-five messages into this project, it occurred to me that I’d better set some goals for what I want to accomplish. As I sat down with pen and paper, I was surprised and pleased to find a list of short- and long-term goals, scribbled on the back of some guidelines the KMM people had sent when I first investigated this opportunity.
I take it as a good sign that I would make written goals out of habit, without even remembering it. So far, I’ve been right on schedule with what I wanted to produce the first couple of weeks.
Of course, by not referring to my goals often, I soon would have deviated from what I wanted, and the experience would
have become dissatisfying. So I have typed my goals and put them in places where I will see them several times each day.
Tips on goals will often occupy this space, as few things are as important to our personal and professional success. As Earl Nightingale said, “People with goals succeed because they know where they are going. It's as simple as that.”
For now, we’ll let it go at that.

For me settinggoals has always been as easy as forgetting them. Nice one.
