“as far as I'm conceived this correction of short writty is the most wonderfoul larf I've ever ready.” John Lennon (about his first book, In His Own Write)![]()
Groucho Marx said, “I find television very educating. Every time somebody turns on the set, I go into the other room and read a book.” Marx also said, “Outside of a dog, a book is a man’s best friend. Inside of a dog, it’s too dark to read.”
Like you, I’m too busy to read. I have a full-time job, two part-time jobs, seven children, church duties, and play tennis and basketball, but I still manage two or three books a month. I keep them in convenient places so at all free moments I can grab one. Right now I have:
Leadership and Self-Deception (The Arbinger Institute) on my desk.
It’s not the BIG that eat the SMALL… it’s the FAST that eat the SLOW (
Scriptures on my night stand.
The Bluest Eye (Toni Morrison) by my sink.
Forever Odd (Dean Koontz) under the Morrison book.
The Gift Of Fear (Gavin de Becker) on my living room chair.
On The Run (Jack Weyland) on the couch.
The One-Minute Millionaire (Hansen and Allen) on hold at the library.
