I don’t know who thought that up, but it’s perfect. Too often our actions seem directly opposite of what we intend. In a
Chris Browne Hägar cartoon, the boy asks his father: “Am I smart, dad?” Hägar says, “Are you smart? What a stupid, stupid question. Of course you’re smart, stupid.”
Too often we do things we know we shouldn’t. We don’t do things we know we should. It happens at the office, it happens at home. We meant to do something else, or we didn’t realize that what we are doing isn’t helping us get where we want to be, or to become who we want to be.
