"The poor, the unsuccessful, the unhappy, the unhealthy are the ones who use the word tomorrow the most," says Robert Kiyosaki in Rich Dad Secrets.![]()
Kiyosaki wrote one of my favorite books, Rich Dad Poor Dad (followed closely on my favorites list by The Automatic Millionaire by David Bach). I recommend them for anyone who wants to understand the basics of becoming wealthy by simply making and saving money.
The poor, the unsuccessful, the unhappy, the unhealthy are the ones who procrastinate, the ones who don’t have written goals, the ones who blame the government or their boss or their fathers-in-law, the ones who don’t read the books, the ones who don’t develop the disciplines, the ones who don’t know that the television has an Off button.
I used to work with a guy who said that if you want to be rich, find out what the poor people are watching on TV and don’t watch it. I don’t know if he was quoting someone else, but his point was clear. If you want to be rich, or successful, or happy, or healthy, find out what rich, successful, happy, healthy people do and do the same things.

I've read both books you mentioned, and can offer praise for both. In fact, I wish they were part of every student's reading list in middle school.
