Another of my pet peeves is cheerleaders. I am waiting for a presidential or gubernatorial candidate who has the guts to do something about this pestilence, but I will spare you the details. Instead, I present the following from Brian Tracy in Eat That Frog:
“To perform at your best, you must become your own
personal cheerleader. You must develop a routine of coaching yourself and encouraging yourself to play at the top of your game.”
What he means is that we can’t depend on others for our own rah-rah. Our enthusiasm must come from within or it will last about as long as a cheerleader’s skirt (which isn’t very long, which is only one of my problems with cheerleaders).
“To keep yourself motivated,”
