in activities that are really worthwhile and joy will follow. Children and university students are usually happier during the school year than during summer vacation. Really! This is because human beings, by nature, need something worthwhile to do - constantly - or they start to feel unworthy.”
One of my most difficult times was when I was making good money at a job where the only benefit were a healthy paycheck and 100 percent paid medical with no deductibles. The work was mindless, meaningless and monotonous. I dreaded going every day and grew to despise being there. I felt useless and bored and empty and wasted. Everyone said I was crazy to leave, but I had to get out. I’ve never regretted it.
