You hope you won’t fail? Guess what? You’re about to fail. Negative thinking always leads to failure. If you say “I hope I don’t fail” over and over, failure becomes inevitable. Go ahead, say it right now, 20 times. Say it like you always do. How do you feel? What are you thinking?
Now say “I will succeed” over and over, 20 times.
Say it like you mean it. What are you thinking now? Do you see the difference?
Say “I am so stupid” 20 times. That is such an easy one to believe. How do you feel? Now say “I like myself” 20 times. How do you feel?
Now repeat what you are: “I am a great parent.” “I am a great marketing director.” “I am a great painter.” “I am a great plumber.” “I am a great blogger.” “I am a great neurosurgeon.” “I am a great kisser.” “I am a great speaker.” “I am a great whatever - fill in your own blank." Affirmations alone are limited, you need self-discipline, too, but they are way better than constant negations.
