My favorite live band, Big Smith, is doing another benefit concert on Saturday, April 8 at 5 p.m. at Remington's, Springfield, Missouri. The “Hunger Fighting Silent Auction with Big Smith” will raise money to feed hungry children at the Rainbow Network feeding center in Nicaragua.
There music is flat out terrific, but the two things I admire most about Big Smith is that, even though they are extremely popular in the midwest, commanding substantial fees, they do a lot of fundraisning concerts and a lot of free gigs. The other thing I admire is that they are finally going full-time. I’ve been watching them for I guess eight years now, and they just get better, and they have recently all quit their real jobs to become full-time muscians. Go boys go. C’mon and see ‘em.
