My favorite live band, Big Smith, is doing another benefit concert on Saturday, April 8 at 5 p.m. at Remington's, Springfield, Missouri. The “Hunger Fighting Silent Auction with Big Smith” will raise money to feed hungry children at the Rainbow Network feeding center in Nicaragua.![]()
There music is flat out terrific, but the two things I admire most about Big Smith is that, even though they are extremely popular in the midwest, commanding substantial fees, they do a lot of fundraisning concerts and a lot of free gigs. The other thing I admire is that they are finally going full-time. I’ve been watching them for I guess eight years now, and they just get better, and they have recently all quit their real jobs to become full-time muscians. Go boys go. C’mon and see ‘em.
