Before all of you in Chicago start writing rude comments, l grew up watching the St. Louis Football Cardinals, and
except for a couple of seasons in the mid-1970s, I always said I was a Cardinals fan because I like to watch kick-off returns.
But rude or not, the Cubbies haven’t had a champion team since 1908. Many players, on leaving the organization, have said there is just an attitude of acceptance: the Cubs are losers.
Are you a winner or a loser? Which attitude do you have?
A winner has core beliefs (core character, if you will). A winner sets and reviews goals. A winner has focus, unfailing integrity and perspective. A winner solves problems, sets a good example, and shows leadership. A winner is positive, persistent and happy. A winner reads.
A loser makes excuses, has no respect and gets no respect. A loser is lazy and depressed and gives in to fear. A loser stretches the truth and cuts corners. A loser does not learn, tends to sleep and watch TV too much, and lives in the past. A loser procrastinates and blames others.

Well, it's pretty sad that the Cubs can't make it too far, but on the other hand they have one of the largest fan pools in the country. Strange or not, that's a fact
