“When people ask you how you are, always tell them, ‘I feel terrific.’ No matter how you really feel at the moment or what is happening in you life, resolve to remain cheerful and upbeat.” Brian Tracy
The best example I can think of is musicians, p
eople who perform live. I’m sure Bob Dylan and Paul McCartney and the Everly Brothers and Billy Swan and the Rainmakers and the guys in Big Smith and Red Meat have their share of problems, their share of worries, their share of bad days. But when they walk out on stage, man, to look at them, their life is one big bowl of cherries. There’s no sign of tension or discouragement or wanting to be somewhere else. They are fiercely cheerful and upbeat (well, as upbeat as someone like Bob Dylan can be.)
It is that way in business, in your business. When you have a presentation, or a big meeting, when you have to be on, you have to be on, with no trace of what is going on in your life.
* A line from a favorite Beatles’ song. But you knew that.
