The pilot speaks over the intercom. “Folks, the good news is we are making really good time. The bad news is, we’re hopelessly lost.”

That sometimes happens to us. We stay really busy, but we don’t know where we are, what we’re doing, where we’re going.

I went through that once, worse than usual, struggling with things, trying to make some decisions, when I had what can only be called a miracle. I had a vision. It was in the South County Mall in St. Louis . I walked in and there was this huge map, right in the middle of the walkway. The map showed where every store and restaurant was, all the exits, the restrooms, everything. And right in the middle was a sign, in bold letters, “You Are Here.” I was stunned. “You are here.” I couldn’t believe it. How did it know?

Whatever path has brought you to today, you are here. You need a map, a vision, if you will, of where you are, what you want to do while you are here, where you want to go. You have to do more than make time.
