Go back over it, study it again. Think about it. Redo it. Relive it. Read it again. Take a few minutes to review your day. Take a few hours to review your week – what went on, who you saw, what you did. Take half a day to review your month, what you read, what you accomplished. Take a weekend to review your year. Lock in your experiences. Don’t let events disappear. Write it down. Remember. Consider the highs and the lows. Sometimes you should review with others: your coworkers, your spouse. But reflect in solitude, too, where you can shut out the world. Spend time in prayer and contemplation. Make the past more valuable, to serve your future.
