From Done! How To Accomplish Twice As Much In Half The Time – At Home And At The Office, by Don Aslett.
Getting more done is the most direct route to what you’re looking for. It’s the answer to most of our problems. It
gives us self-esteem, satisfaction, a sense of purpose, and a good livelihood. Production keeps us in touch, in focus, in demand, in charge and interesting (not to mention in income).
Don’t confuse more time with more stuff or more status. We want to get more done because of what we can accomplish and become, not just what we can have. When you hear the word “production,” don’t just think of assembly lines – that’s just mechanical output. Production can be bigger, better, greater accomplishment in anything:
Teaching lessons – in the classroom or anywhere – that change lives.Preparing quality meals.
Playing music that will lift and touch others.
Creating a pleasant and beautiful yard or garden.
Displaying determination and drive that inspires others.
Caring well for children, the aged, or anyone, making them comfortable and safe and happy – this is one of the most productive things on earth.
