If you like yourself, you are much less likely to do things you ought not to do, and much more likely to do that which you ought.
If you like yourself, you will eat better, you will exercise more. If you like yourself you will go to bed and get up on time. If you like yourself, you are more likely to avoid addictive behavior. If you like yourself, you will work harder on improving yourself than you do on improving your job.
“Your level of self-esteem, how much you like and respect yourself,” says Brian Tracy, “is central to your levels of motivation and persistence. You should talk to yourself positively all the time to boost your self-esteem. Say things like, ‘I like myself! I like myself!’ over and over until you begin to believe what you say and behave like a person with a high-performance personality."
