It’s too easy to work too much, too often, too long, to neglect life essentials that do not involve work. We’ve all done it. When you’re at work, focus on work, certainly, but give the same
attention to other areas of your life, especially home and family.
Sometimes that isn’t easy, but keep this in mind. According to American Express Small Business Services, “too much time on the job could affect your judgment and lead to poor decisions.” So if for no other reason, get out of the office regularly so you can stay sharp on the job.
But you have better reasons than that.
At least two or three times a week, set work deadlines and stick to them. If you mark 6 p.m. Tuesday as quitting time, quit at 6 p.m. Tuesday. Go to a play, or go play with the kids. They’ll be waiting for you.If you use a planner for work, put family time and fun times in there, too. Buy tickets to ball games and operas in advance to help force you to go. Mark off vacation time then go go go.

This is a great post. Time management is so important.
