I’ve never met a Dan Brown book I didn’t like, and of course, The Da Vinci Code is his best so far. One measure of that book’s popularity, apart from selling more than 40 million copies hardcover, is the number of lawsuits brought against Brown and all the controversy swirling around him and the book.
But Brown has kept a sense of humor about it. “By the way,” Brown said during a recent speech, “if anybody in the audience would like to sue me, we have forms out back. Just pick one up on your way out.”
It’s too bad we can’t leave successful people alone. It seems someone is always trying to cash in on someone else who reaches the top, looking for the easy money, the quick notoriety. It’s the same way in music, I’m sure, or in any of the more creative disciplines.
