From Randy Pennington and Marc Bockmon in On My Honor, I Will:
It is by positive action that we demonstrate honor, and by honor that we distinguish ourselves from those who do not uphold these high ideals. People of honor don’t look for escape
clauses or excuses or justifications. They’re more concerned with what’s right than who’s right.
We are what we habitually do. If we are habitually unreliable, undependable, and dishonorable, we become that. On the other hand, if we make commitments and keep them, if our word is our bond, regardless of the cost, then we become what we have been behaving. We become a person of integrity by behaving like a person of integrity.
The more honorable we are, the more we positively affect those around us.
