If you consider yourself to be an expert on quotations, try this 10-question quiz. The quiz itself is simple enough, and most of you will score 10 of 10. What is interesting is the complete quotes and bits of historical information included with them on the answer page.

The complete quote is "Today I consider myself the luckiest man on the face of the earth." Those words were spoken by baseball great Lou Gehrig on July 4, 1939, during the 36-year-old's farewell speech at Yankee Stadium. Gehrig, who suffered from amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (now commonly known as Lou Gehrig's disease), was retiring from baseball. His speech is considered one of the most moving ever given by an athlete.
