[D]iscipline is inevitable. Either we discipline ourselves to achieve our self-chosen goals and ideals, or the world will shape us toward its own - goals and ideals that may have nothing to do with our own sense of purpose, happiness and fulfillment.
Disciplined people follow their own self-chosen values and choose actions and responses based on those values. Undisciplined people follow the whims of the world's demands and are never in control, constantly reacting to stimuli imposed by others.
The key to becoming more disciplined in any area is to approach it not as a chore but as an exciting challenge. In any activity or situation, you have a choice to respond with discipline or disorder. The choice is yours, and so are the consequences.
