It used to be that oil companies raised their prices for holiday weekends. We would all moan and complain, curse big oil but keep driving. This of course made money for the oil companies, but it was bad PR.![]()
At last, the oil companies have come up with a scheme that makes unbelievable profits and has the driving public singing their praises. Rather than raise prices 10 cents a gallon for Memorial Day, like they used to do, they simply raised prices 90 cents a gallon back in March then slowly slowly slowly lowered the price per gallon by 50 cents so that by the holiday gas was indeed cheaper than it had been in two months – only 40 cents more than it was – and we all drove rejoicing that gas was cheap on the holiday. It’s a win-win. Isn’t it?

Thank you for sharing, that was too, too funny. Made my day!
