I like movies, but not enough to pay movie theater prices. I’m content to wait a few months for the film to make it to our local dollar theater, a bargain at only $2.50. If I’m still interested in a film after that long, I sometimes go.![]()
One exception was Jurassic Park. I was so engrossed in the book, I’d read it three times by the movie’s release, and had to see it. I was so excited walking into the theater, but 10 minutes later I knew it was a mistake. I don’t know whether Jurassic Park is a good movie – I can’t watch it – I just know that it is an awful representation of the book, a miserable experience.
So I expect the same thing with The Da Vinci Code. It was such a fun read, such a captivating story, I see no way the movie could do it justice, and feel certain I’ll be disappointed, even with Opie and Tom Hanks. How was it for you?

I haven't seen The Da Vinci Code either?
I have not read the book. Is it true that it's ficticious or is that the Right wings take, not to blaspheme Christianity?
