Some commercial for some cable or satellite TV company caught my attention. The man was complaining about
rates being too high, and he kept saying "Nothing is worse than paying too much for television."
Well, I don’t pay anything for television, but as bad as paying too much must be, I can think of one or two things worse. Cancer, for one. That’s gotta be worse. Getting dumped by women, oh boy, that’s worse. Getting home from the drive-thru with one fewer tacos than you paid for, I hate that. IRS audits, I hear those are bad. Watching movies named after books that were so much better than the movies, that’s bad. When the guy at the front of the line doesn’t go when the light turns green, that’s bad. Or how about when there’s a tornado warning and the sirens blare for 30 minutes and you can’t focus on what you should be writing? That's bad, too.
