
Not that long ago, I railed against the fact that AARP – the old folk’s club – had me on their mailing list. I’m not old, not even 50. I mean, c’mon.![]()
So it strikes me as ironic that the source of a upcoming series of articles on identity theft is AARP The Magazine. My older brother – ancient at 52 – had an extra copy. There is a reason it is "the world’s largest circulation magazine" other than a huge market. It’s really good, well-written, attractive and full of useful information. Just like me.
In our defense, he got the magazines from elderly neighbors, rather than by subscription. And, the main reason he had them, Paul McCartney’s photo is on the cover and my brother owns every book or magazine he’s ever seen with McCartney’s photo on it. The former Beatle is turning 64 in June, and I hope I can age as well. Go Paul go.
