I'm done for the day, another busy Saturday just about gone. To unwind, I've been reading fellow KnowMoreMedia bloggers, and was intrigued by a post Maria Palmer has about having bad days.![]()
We all have bad things happen, unforeseen things, accidents, people who beat up on us or let us down. There are two things that help me cope.
One, I remember the day I was run down on my bike by a car doing 40. Any day that doesn't happen is a good day.
Two, I remember a woman in England. Her husband was killed driving to work. Her son died in a car wreck on the way to identify the body. When the woman told her daughter, she had a heart attack and died. She lost her whole family in two hours.
She said her first thought was to kill herself, but she realized she had love to give, so she took the insurance money and began adopting and fostering children. She took the ones no one wanted, the sick ones, the crippled ones, the ones not even the jails would take. Over the years, she took in something like 100 kids, and she said that all of them became responsible citizens. She had their pictures on her walls, and it was remarkable to see.
So I try never to let a day get too bad in my mind.

Hi John,
Wow...that's a very unfortunate situation - just another reminder that when you think you're life is bad, just remember that it could always be worse!
Thanks for the link ;)
