I have a friend who says "talk to me." I like that. And another friend who says, "you wanna hang out?" which means, "we need to talk." My daughter used to say, "let's go for a run," which often meant "Daddy, I want to talk." Which usually meant "Daddy, I talk, you listen."
Talking is good. Important, unimportant, doesn't matter. Talking is good. As I look back at people I've known, at my relationships, personal relationships, professional relationships, at home, at work, on ball teams, between the good and the bad, the happy and the sad, the successful and the unsuccessful, the difference is communication, simply whether we talked to each other or not.
Talking is good.
