"One way to steer your life toward happiness is simply to count your blessings. People who pause each day to reflect on the positive aspects of their lives (health, friends, family, education, jobs,
chocolate, freedom) are more likely to experience heightened well-being." Richard Turbo
Today is my father's birthday. He is 74. He was 69 when he had his first stroke. He has been a blessing to me, a good father, a good example, a good man. I am like him in some ways. I think many of my good qualities are from him, but my faults are my own. From him I learned honesty. My dad always acted with integrity, despite the cost. He was honorable, he was generous, and he was dedicated to what he believed in. If I wasn't born with a heightened sense of well-being, I must have learned that from him, too.
