They wouldn't answer the phone, so I had to make the dreaded trip to store. There are worse things than visiting my cell phone
service provider in person, but there are things I would rather do. Eat ticks, for example.
All I wanted was to increase my daytime minutes. The kids are home for the summer and we use the phone more, and I've run out of minutes. Seems to me they would want to sell minutes, and they were happy to, but not until the middle of next week. But I need minutes now, I said. Oh, we can't do that, they said, not with your plan. Well, I said, how about a new plan? Sure, they said. When will it start, I asked. Middle of next week, they said. You can't sell me a plan now, I asked. That's not how we operate, they said, but we can sell you 35-cent minutes, they said. That, I said, is not how I operate.
Why is it so hard to do business with this company? Are all cell phone providers this difficult?
