This is a line from The One-Minute Millionaire, by Mark Victor Hansen and Robert G. Allen. It is an excellent book on not just making money, but making "enlightened money." This is one of my favorite lines:
Poor thoughts will not produce prosperity.
It's gold, but I've been looking at it since mid-March and haven't come up with anything profound or even useful to say about it, I think maybe because it is just about perfect just as it is.
So here's what I propose. Let's have a contest to see who can best finish this line:
Poor thoughts will not produce prosperity
any more than ______ will ______.
Send as many entries as you like to my e-mail address, by midnight, July 31. The winner – chosen by me, based solely on how it strikes me - will receive a valuable prize: I will call the winner and read one chapter of The One-Minute Millionaire, right out loud (after 9 p.m. when I have free minutes). How's that for a deal.

Poor thoughts will not produce prosperity any more than despair will create hope.
