Before You Travel
Make two copies of all your important documents – passports, visas, credit cards, travelers' checks, itinerary and plane tickets. Take one copy on the road with you and keep it separate from the originals. Leave another set at home, ideally somewhere it can be accessed by a friend or relative, if need be.
In The Air
On a long flight, wear shoes that slip off and loose clothing in soft fibers that don't wrinkle. A pair of warm socks will keep your feet warm in a chilly cabin. Inflatable pillows are a godsend for sensitive necks. Choose and outfit that's comfortable put pulled-together enough that if your luggage is lost, you'll be happy to wear it for an extended period.
