Someone gave me flowers yesterday, 20
beautiful roses, thank you, and it reminds me of the slogan one of the florist companies used to use, "Say It…With Flowers." Flowers do convey a message on their own, a certain charm and warmth, that maybe can't be expressed in any other way.
But there are other methods of expression. Give someone fresh fruit, for example, and it says that you are interested in their long-term well-being. Buy someone a white Mercedes, and that says something different. Let the air out of the tires, that says something else.
One of the best ways to say something is with words. Talk to the people you work with, to the people you live with. Learn to have honest, significant conversations. Learn to express and enjoy the trivia of your days. Drop someone a note of thanks. Pick up a phone. Tell a story.
Figure out some way to say what needs to be said.

I couldn't agree more! Life is too short to exclude thoughfulness from our existence. It is the stuff that makes one's perspective completly swirl to new heights. It is lost to many in this day and time. I would like to see it make a debut once again. -D2
