Mom always warned us not to ride wheelies. Do kids still do that? You ride your bike, balance on just the back tire. I never did it because I couldn't do it, but my little brother could. He was good.
Of course, his mother told him not to ride wheelies, too. One day, riding wheelies down our street, my brother's front wheel fell off.
It didn't take too much brain power to know that when he dropped down, the front fork would dig into the soft asphalt and my brother would go flying. We couldn't wait.
He desperately tried to make it off teh road onto somebody's lawn, but we knew it was just a matter of time until he fell.
When we choose to disobey - to break the law - our fall is inevitable. We struggle to prevent it, but the end result is certain.
Every choice has consequences. When we choose to act, we choose teh road that follows, too.
